Baromi Privacy Policy

Summary
Baromi collects no personal information. There is no Baromi server, and the app contains no code that communicates with anything outside your iPhone. The readings you record stay on your device.
1. What the app handles
Read from Apple Health — systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, and heart rate, and only if you grant permission. Baromi never writes anything to Apple Health.
Readings you enter yourself — systolic and diastolic pressure, pulse, the time and time zone of the measurement, memos, and tags.
Profile — date of birth, pregnancy status, and a display name if you enter one. These are used only to work out the blood-pressure target range that applies to you, which depends on age and pregnancy.
Targets and reminders — your target upper limits, any note about their source, and the times and weekdays of measurement reminders.
Camera images — used to read the numbers on a monitor display or a paper record so you don't have to type them. Recognition runs on your iPhone using Apple's Vision framework. Photos are neither stored nor transmitted.
2. Where data is stored
All readings are stored in a database inside your iPhone. A summary shown by the home-screen widget is kept in an app group container on the same device, readable only by the Baromi widget on that iPhone.
If you have iPhone backups enabled (iCloud Backup or an encrypted computer backup), app data may be included in those backups under iOS's own backup policy. That is your iOS setting; Baromi does not transmit anything itself.
3. Sharing and transmission
None. Baromi uses no advertising, analytics, tracking, or crash-reporting SDKs, and sends data to no server.
4. When you export data yourself
From Settings you can produce a CSV file or a PDF report and hand it to the iOS share sheet. The file is written to a temporary folder and deleted once sharing completes or is cancelled. You choose the destination; what happens afterwards is governed by the policy of the app or service that receives it.
5. Retention and deletion
Readings remain on your device until you delete them.
- Individual readings can be deleted in the app.
- Deleting the app removes the data Baromi stored.
- Readings originating in Apple Health are managed by the Health app. You can revoke Baromi's read access at any time in Health → Sharing → Apps → Baromi.
6. Children
Baromi is not directed at children and collects no age-related information beyond the date of birth used to compute target ranges.
7. Medical notice
Baromi is a tool for recording and reviewing blood-pressure readings. It is not a medical device. Consult a healthcare professional for any diagnostic or treatment decision.
8. Changes
If this policy changes, this page will be updated and the effective date above revised.
