Baromi Support

한국어 · English

Baromi is an iPhone app that charts the blood pressure already in Apple Health against your target, and turns it into a report you can take to an appointment.

Frequently asked questions

A reading I entered in the app doesn't appear in Apple Health

That is intended. Baromi only reads Apple Health. Readings you enter yourself are stored in Baromi on your device and are never written to Apple Health. If you want them in Apple Health too, add them in the Health app or use your monitor's companion app.

I connected Apple Health but no readings appear

There are two possible causes, and Baromi cannot tell them apart — which is why it never claims your permission was denied.

  1. Read access is off — check that blood pressure is enabled under Health → Sharing → Apps → Baromi.
  2. There are no blood-pressure readings in Apple Health — check under Health → Search → Blood Pressure.

If I delete a reading in Baromi, is it deleted from Apple Health?

No. It is removed from Baromi only; the original in Apple Health stays.

My readings don't appear on my other iPhone

Baromi has no server and does not sync between devices. To move your readings, use Export CSV in Settings and then Import CSV on the new device.

If I delete the app, do I lose my readings?

Yes. If you have iPhone backups enabled (iCloud Backup or an encrypted computer backup), they come back when you restore from a backup. For readings you want to keep long-term, export a CSV and store it separately.

Reminders aren't arriving

  1. Check that notifications are allowed under Settings → Baromi → Notifications.
  2. Check that the reminder is enabled in Baromi and that at least one weekday is selected.
  3. A Focus mode can delay notification delivery.

The widget isn't updating

The widget refreshes when the app reads or saves readings. Opening Baromi once brings it up to date.

The widget isn't showing my numbers

Turning off Show readings in widget in Settings leaves only the reading count and how long since the last one. On Lock Screen widgets, numbers are never shown, under any setting.

The camera reads the wrong numbers

Recognition runs entirely on your iPhone and is not perfect. Frame the monitor's display so the digits are large and square-on, and check the filled-in values before saving. The photo is neither stored nor transmitted.

No target range is set automatically

If you entered that you are pregnant or under 18, Baromi computes no target of its own — the medical variation is too large for an app to decide. Please enter the target your clinician gave you in Settings.

It doesn't tell me whether my blood pressure is normal

Baromi does not make that call. It shows where a reading sits relative to your target. The judgement belongs to a healthcare professional.
